  • Provider: SolidCore Engineering Pty Ltd (ABN 32 679 706 668), trading as SolidDrafter
  • User: you, the individual or entity using SolidDrafter
  • Service: the SolidDrafter web-based CAD drafting platform, website, software tools, exports, storage features, and related services

By using SolidDrafter, you confirm that:

  • you have read and understood these Terms;
  • you agree to be legally bound by these Terms;
  • you have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement; and
  • if you are using SolidDrafter on behalf of an organisation, business, company, partnership, or other entity, you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

2. Service Description

SolidDrafter is a web-based CAD drafting platform that enables users to:

  • create technical drawings, floor plans, site plans, elevations, and related drafting documents;
  • design and edit architectural layouts and technical diagrams;
  • use drafting tools, templates, symbols, dimensions, annotations, and shape libraries;
  • import, store, manage, and edit project files and drafting references;
  • generate and export documents, including PDF and other supported formats; and
  • manage drafting projects through a browser-based platform.

SolidDrafter is an evolving software platform. Features may be added, modified, limited, improved, suspended, or removed over time. We will take reasonable steps to avoid materially reducing paid features during an active paid period without reasonable notice.

Service Availability: We aim to provide reliable service availability, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. SolidDrafter may be unavailable from time to time due to scheduled maintenance, emergency maintenance, updates, technical issues, third-party service outages, internet disruption, or events beyond our reasonable control.

3. User Accounts

To use SolidDrafter, you may be required to create an account and provide information such as:

  • a valid email address;
  • full name;
  • phone number;
  • postal address;
  • business or organisation details, where applicable; and
  • a secure password or other authentication method.

You are responsible for:

  • maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials;
  • all activities that occur under your account;
  • using strong and unique passwords;
  • keeping your account information accurate and up to date;
  • ensuring that users within your organisation comply with these Terms; and
  • promptly notifying us of any unauthorised access, suspected security issue, or misuse of your account.

We may refuse registration, suspend access, or require account verification where reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, payment, compliance, or platform protection purposes.

4. Acceptable Use

You may use SolidDrafter for lawful professional, commercial, educational, and personal drafting purposes, including:

  • creating architectural drawings, floor plans, site plans, and technical drawings;
  • designing technical diagrams and layouts;
  • preparing drafting documentation for review, coordination, or approval processes;
  • education, training, and learning; and
  • professional or commercial design and drafting work.

You must not use SolidDrafter to:

  • break any law or regulation;
  • upload viruses, malware, malicious code, or harmful files;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to SolidDrafter, our systems, other user accounts, or third-party systems;
  • interfere with, overload, disrupt, scrape, crawl, or reverse engineer the platform except where expressly permitted by law;
  • decompile, copy, extract, or attempt to derive source code from the platform;
  • bypass usage limits, payment requirements, security features, or access controls;
  • upload or create content that infringes intellectual property, privacy, confidentiality, or other third-party rights;
  • use the platform to harass, threaten, abuse, defame, mislead, or harm others;
  • distribute spam, unsolicited communications, or deceptive material;
  • use SolidDrafter to create or distribute unlawful, fraudulent, unsafe, or harmful content; or
  • use the platform in a way that may damage SolidDrafter, other users, or our service providers.

5. Payment and Subscriptions

SolidDrafter may offer free plans, one-off access passes, subscriptions, and other paid plans. The current plans, inclusions, limits, and prices are shown on our pricing page and at checkout.

At launch, our plans may include:

  • Free: allows users to create and draft projects, with limitations such as watermarked draft exports and restricted access to selected features.
  • Project Pass: a one-off purchase that unlocks full access to selected paid features, such as clean exports, additional projects, and sharing, for 60 days from the purchase date. It does not automatically renew.
  • Pro: a paid subscription that unlocks full access on an ongoing basis. Pro may be billed quarterly, with a minimum paid period of 3 months, or annually.

Billing Terms

All prices are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include GST unless stated otherwise.

Payments are processed securely by Stripe or another payment provider. We do not receive or store your full card number.

Paid features are unlocked once your payment is confirmed.

Pro subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before renewal.

You can manage or cancel your subscription via Manage Subscription in the app, which may redirect you to the Stripe Customer Portal.

Cancelling a Pro subscription stops the next renewal but does not refund, shorten, or cancel the current paid billing period. Your access continues until the end of the current paid period.

For quarterly Pro subscriptions, the minimum paid period is 3 months. Cancelling during the 3-month period stops future renewal but does not refund the unused portion of the current billing period unless required by law.

For annual Pro subscriptions, cancelling during the annual period stops future renewal but does not refund the unused portion of the current annual period unless required by law.

Refunds

Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, including any right to a remedy where a service does not meet a consumer guarantee.

Except where required by law, fees already paid, including Project Pass purchases and amounts paid for a current subscription period, are non-refundable.

If you believe you are entitled to a refund, contact us at support@soliddrafter.com.au.

6. Third-Party Services

SolidDrafter uses third-party service providers to operate, secure, host, process payments, deliver emails, store data, and improve the platform. These may include:

  • Supabase: authentication, database hosting, file storage, and related backend services.
  • Stripe: payment processing, subscription management, invoicing, and billing support.
  • PostHog: optional product analytics, usage insights, performance metrics, and error reporting. You can opt out of optional product analytics via Resources → Privacy Settings.
  • Resend: transactional and account email delivery, including verification emails, account notices, receipts, and reminders.
  • Vercel or similar hosting providers: application hosting, deployment, and content delivery.

By using SolidDrafter, you acknowledge that your information may be processed by these third-party service providers in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

These third-party services maintain their own terms, policies, systems, and security practices. We are not responsible for third-party services except to the extent required by law.

Overseas Processing

Your data may be stored or processed on servers outside Australia, including in the United States or other jurisdictions where our service providers operate.

We take reasonable steps to ensure that our service providers maintain appropriate privacy and security safeguards. Further information is available in our Privacy Policy.

7. Data Retention and Account Deletion

You may request account deletion from within the app, where available, or by contacting support@soliddrafter.com.au.

Upon account deletion:

  • your account and project data, including drawings, saved exports, uploaded files, and shared links, will be deleted or deactivated from active systems within a reasonable period after confirmation;
  • certain records may be retained where required or permitted for legal, accounting, taxation, fraud prevention, payment, dispute-resolution, or compliance purposes;
  • residual copies may remain in routine backups for a limited period before being overwritten or deleted in accordance with normal backup processes; and
  • anonymised or aggregated usage data may be retained.

Before account deletion, you may request a copy of your available account and project data, where reasonably practicable.

We may not be able to recover deleted account or project data once deletion has been confirmed and processed.

8. Account Suspension and Termination

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your account or access to SolidDrafter if we reasonably believe that:

  • you have violated these Terms;
  • you have failed to pay applicable fees;
  • you have used the platform for fraudulent, illegal, abusive, harmful, or unsafe activities;
  • your account has been compromised or poses a security risk;
  • your use of the platform may harm other users, third parties, our systems, or our service providers;
  • we are required to do so by law, regulator, court order, payment provider, or service provider; or
  • continued access may expose SolidDrafter, SolidCore Engineering, or other users to legal, security, operational, or reputational risk.

Where possible, we will provide notice before suspension or termination and give you an opportunity to respond. However, we may suspend or terminate access immediately where the matter is urgent, serious, unlawful, security-related, payment-related, or necessary to protect the platform or other users.

You may contact us to appeal a suspension or termination decision.

Upon termination, your access to SolidDrafter will cease, and your data may be deleted or retained in accordance with our data retention practices and Privacy Policy.

9. Intellectual Property

You must not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, sell, lease, sublicense, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from SolidDrafter except as expressly permitted by these Terms or by law.

We do not claim ownership of your project content.

You are responsible for ensuring that you have the necessary rights, permissions, licences, and authority to upload, create, store, export, or share content through SolidDrafter.

11. Measurement, Accuracy, and Construction Use

You are responsible for the accuracy, suitability, and use of all drawings, measurements, dimensions, scale settings, project inputs, imported references, and exported documents created using SolidDrafter.

You must:

  • verify the accuracy of every measurement you input;

For construction, renovation, engineering, approval, or manufacturing use, you should obtain review by suitably qualified professionals, such as licensed builders, building designers, architects, engineers, surveyors, certifiers, or other relevant consultants.

12. Exports, Shared Links, and Project Files

You are responsible for all files, exports, links, and project information you create, download, submit, publish, or share using SolidDrafter.

Exported files, including PDFs, DXF files, project files, images, or other generated outputs, may include information you entered into a project, including:

You control when exports and shared links are created and with whom they are shared. You should only share exported files or links with people authorised to view the relevant project information.

We are not responsible for how recipients use, store, copy, forward, alter, rely on, or distribute exported files or shared links once you have provided access to them.

13. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any rights, guarantees, remedies, or protections that cannot be excluded, restricted, or modified under the Australian Consumer Law or any other applicable law.

To the extent permitted by law, SolidCore Engineering Pty Ltd and SolidDrafter are not liable for:

  • measurement errors or inaccuracies in drawings created using the platform;

  • building code, planning, council, regulatory, or Australian Standards non-compliance in user-created designs;

  • data loss, corruption, accidental deletion, failed exports, or inability to access projects;
  • third-party service outages, failures, or changes;
  • indirect, incidental, special, punitive, exemplary, or consequential loss;
  • loss of profits, business opportunities, contracts, revenue, goodwill, or anticipated savings; or
  • losses arising from your breach of these Terms, misuse of the platform, or failure to verify outputs.

To the extent permitted by law, if we are found liable despite these limitations, our total aggregate liability for all claims arising out of or in connection with SolidDrafter will be limited to the amount you paid for SolidDrafter services in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

Where liability cannot be excluded but can be limited, our liability is limited, at our option and to the extent permitted by law, to supplying the services again or paying the cost of having the services supplied again.

14. User Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless SolidCore Engineering Pty Ltd, its directors, officers, employees, contractors, and agents from and against claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising from or related to:

  • any claim by a third party arising from your project content or use of the platform.

This indemnity does not apply to the extent a claim is caused by our fraud, wilful misconduct, or breach of obligations that cannot be excluded by law.

15. Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law or any other applicable law.

If you are a consumer under the Australian Consumer Law, you may have rights that cannot be excluded, including guarantees that services will be provided with due care and skill, be fit for purpose where a purpose has been made known, and be supplied within a reasonable time where no time is agreed.

Where a guarantee, warranty, or condition is implied or imposed by law and cannot be excluded, our liability is limited only to the extent permitted by law.

16. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of South Australia, Australia.

The parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Australia and the Commonwealth courts of Australia.

17. Dispute Resolution

We encourage resolving disputes through good-faith communication.

Step 1 — Informal Resolution

If you have a concern, complaint, billing issue, technical issue, or dispute, please contact us first at support@soliddrafter.com.au.

We will attempt to resolve the matter fairly and promptly.

Step 2 — Mediation

If the dispute cannot be resolved informally, the parties agree to consider mediation or another appropriate dispute-resolution process before commencing legal proceedings, except where urgent injunctive relief, debt recovery, or legal action is reasonably necessary.

Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking urgent court orders or exercising rights that cannot be restricted by law.

18. Updates to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our service, pricing, plans, features, legal requirements, third-party services, or business operations.

How updates take effect:

  • minor or administrative changes may take effect immediately upon posting;
  • material changes will take effect after reasonable notice, generally 30 days where practicable; and
  • significant changes to your legal rights or paid plan terms may require your acceptance or may apply from your next renewal period.

We may notify you of material changes by email, platform notice, in-app notification, website notice, or another reasonable method.

Continuing to use SolidDrafter after updated Terms take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

19. Severability and Waiver

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that right or provision, and does not prevent us from enforcing it later.

20. Assignment

You may not assign, transfer, or sublicense your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent.

We may assign or transfer our rights and obligations under these Terms as part of a business restructure, merger, acquisition, sale of assets, transfer of the SolidDrafter business, or by operation of law, provided that your rights under these Terms are not materially reduced.

21. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any plan-specific terms presented at checkout, constitute the entire agreement between you and SolidCore Engineering Pty Ltd regarding SolidDrafter.

They supersede all prior agreements, representations, discussions, and understandings relating to SolidDrafter.
